Il Rabdomante

Plot. Against the backdrop of a thirsty land where the underworld is in control of the water, two destinies intersect. The story of Harja and Felice, two weaklings who, united in their loneliness as last, will manage to change their destinies. Harja, a 25-year-old girl from the east, on the run from the gangster Cintanidd, undisputed boss of the Apulian mala in the water business, finds refuge in a masseria whose owner is a strange character, Felice, a 40-year-old schizophrenic who lives outside time with the gift of dowsing, the only person who can of helping the peasants unearth water. The boss tasks Tonino the tax collector with finding those who are challenging him in opening water wells , and the Camardo brothers to track down Harja. Between Felice and the young woman on the run an almost brotherly love is born, until one day something happens that seems to undermine the trust she had placed in him. After several searches, however, both the Camardo and Tonino learn where the girl is and who the diviner is; Felice and Harja will have to decide their fates.
